Mason is another budding star to emerge from the karting ranks to compete in the V8 Utes Series and catch the eye of Garry Rogers.
In 2014, Mason won the Australian Formula Rotax National title before moving on to contest the V8 Utes Series in Australia and New Zealand in 2014-16.
In 2016, he drove a FG Ford Falcon XR8 ute to two wins, five podiums and notched up a pole position, resulting in a fifth placing in the Australian V8 Utes Championship.
Mason joined the Wilson Security PAYCE GRM team last year as its youngest driver at the age of 19. In his first Super2 round in Adelaide at the wheel of the #99 Holden Commodore VF, he secured a top ten finish in 9th spot.
Over the 2017 season, he continued to build in confidence in what proved to be one of the most competitive and hard-fought seasons on record. He consistently ran mid-field and chalked up another top ten finish at the Sydney Motorsport Park round.
For 2018, Mason has inherited the Holden Commodore VF Supercar that Garth Tander drove in the 2017 season.
