David Wall

David is no stranger to the Porsche brand, having twice won the Australian GT Championship in the make in 2009 and 2010, as well as competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Australia Championship. He also won the Australian Tourist Trophy Championship in a Porsche in 2009 and 2010.

In 2006, in his maiden year in the Porsche Carrera Cup series, he was named ‘Rookie of the Year’ and subsequently went on to achieve podium finishes on many occasions.

Throughout his career, David’s mainstay has been sports cars and touring cars and in 2009 he competed in the V8 Supercars’ long distance races as co-driver before doing a full season in 2011 in the Fujitsu V8 Development Series.

2012 was his first full season in V8 Supercars in a Holden Commodore VE with Brad Jones Racing before moving to Dick Johnson Racing in 2014 driving a Ford Falcon FG and then on to Garry Rogers Motorsport in 2015 driving a Volvo S60 Polestar.

In 2016 he switched between driving duties in the Porsche Carrera Cup and the Supercars Pirtek Enduro Cup where he co-drove the #33 Volvo S60 with Scott McLaughlin to record three podiums and third place in the series. He finished the 2016 Porsche Carrera Cup championship in third place.

David continued in the hotly-contested Porsche Carrera Cup series last year and after a very successful year of victories and multiple podium finishes emerged as 2017 Champion. He also returned to Supercars in the latter part of the year to co-drive a Nissan Altima for Kelly Racing in the endurance races.

This year David will be defending his national title in what is expected to be a super-competitive championship. He will be driving one of 26 new generation 911 GT3 Porsches in the field, as well as overseeing the preparation by Wall Racing of his own car and that of James Moffat.
