Chris began his motorsport career in Formula First and Formula Ford in his native New Zealand, before competing in the HQ Holden and the Toyota Racing series.
He then moved to the V8 Ute Series before securing a Super2 seat in a Kanga Loaders Falcon, finishing 11th as a rookie in 2006.
Three years in Supercars with Team Kiwi to 2008 gave him valuable experience and exposure, before a crash in practice at Bathurst put his career on hold.
After returning to the sport in 2010, success came quickly on both sides of the Tasman and in 2012 he made a return to the Supercars series as an enduro co-driver with Brad Jones Racing.
Through 2013 to 2015, he continued to build his career in Supercars with stints in various teams, including co-driving duties in a Volvo S60 with Garry Rogers Motorsport. That led to a full-time drive with Super Black Racing in 2016. The highlight that year was pole at the Queensland Raceway round against the best Supercar drivers in the country.
Last year he was snapped up by Erebus to co-drive in the Supercars enduros with Dale Wood. The duo produced an outstanding result to finish 4th in the Bathurst 1000 after starting 21st on the grid.
Chris returns to the Garry Rogers camp and the Dunlop Super2 Series in 2018 in the Holden Commodore VF campaigned by James Moffat in the 2017 season of Supercars.
He will also co-drive for the Wilson Security Racing GRM team in the three Supercars endurance rounds towards the end of the year.
