Brian Boyd and Team PAYCE preview the upcoming 2017 Red Rooster Super2 Series Racing Event in Sydney, NSW.

The Red Rooster round of the Super2 Series championship in Sydney - 2017.

A Long Break for the Super2 Teams - Brian Boyd

Brian Boyd said Team PAYCE will be represented as usual by Richard Muscat (#44 Commodore) and Mason Barbera (# 99 Commodore) from the GRM stable and Macauley Jones (#14 Commodore) from Brad Jones Racing.

"It has been a long break for the Super2 teams, with the last round being at Townsville in early July," continued Brian Boyd.

"Fortunately, all three drivers were able to gain some track time with the Additional Drivers session for enduro co-drivers at Ipswich, which saw Macauley and Richard in their respective drives. Mason returned to his seat in SuperUtes for both Townsville and Ipswich.

"Racing in Super2 has been super-competitive throughout the season and Team PAYCE drivers have consistently been well inside the top 10, both in qualifying and in the races," Brian Boyd said.

"At the last round in Townsville, Richard finished both races with third place podiums and Mason celebrated his first top 10 result, finishing in 9th place. Macauley topped the second practice session and had a best 7th place in race one," Mr. Boyd finished.

The current standings in the championship have Richard in 6th place, Macauley 10th and Mason 17th.
