Friday Practice sessions ...
Friday's practices yielded some good times – a 4th in the first session and an 8th in the second - both around half a second off the fastest times.
Brian Boyd said the series was one of the most competitive in years, and it only took a small error to push a driver down the order.
"Qualifying late in the day placed David in sixth spot on the grid for the first race on Saturday," said Mr Boyd.
"A good start and strong drive saw him improve three positions in race one to take another podium finish in third place and later in the day a fifth placing in race two."
Final race of the round ...
The final race of the round resulted in another podium finish in third place and an overall fourth placing for the round.
"Great performances by David for the weekend in both his regular category and the enduro," remarked Brian Boyd.
"When the different characteristics of the two cars are considered – one left hand drive, the other right hand drive, one paddle gear shift and the other stick shift, different tyre compounds, etcetera, it was a great outcome."
Round 7 of the championship is the penultimate round at the Bathurst 1000 on 6-9 October.
