Team PAYCE Looking Forward to Positive Results at Winton for the TCM - Touring Car Masters Race Event Preview.

The Virgin Australia Supercars action returns to the east this coming weekend to the thrilling 3 kilometre long Winton Motor Raceway, located north-east of Melbourne.

Team PAYCE drivers will be competing across the Supercars and TCM categories, while three other drivers will receive time on track in the practice session, all vying for potential co-driver status in the upcoming enduro races for 2016.

The main support category is the ever-exciting and popular Touring Car Masters with John Bowe looking to replicate his fantastic results from 2015 at Winton, where he took all honours across the weekend.

John had the privilege of being on the top step after the first TCM race at the circuit in 2008 and has since enjoyed many successes in the five rounds that have been held at the circuit.

John Bowe Looks to Mirror 2015 Results – Brian Boyd.

John Bowe is not likely to forget his last display at Winton in the TCM in 2015 when he swapped his beloved Mustang Sally to debut a newly-built Torana SL/R 5000 after being offered the drive by the car's builder and good mate, Gary O'Brien

He came away from the event with a swag of wins and new lap records to boot. Just to top it all off, JB then went on to win the championship for the year. His perfect weekend began on the Friday when he broke his existing lap record to finish on top of the times. In practice two, he again trumped the field, finished with the top time for the session. Saturday was equally as successful, as he topped the times in qualifying and won both races on the day with a stellar performance. Sunday was another great outcome, with JB on the top of the podium clutching the Rare Spares Rose City Trophy to the delight of the fans.

Some of the Best TCM Racing in Recent Years – Brian Boyd

Brian Boyd said: "This season has seen some of the best TCM racing in recent years, with John having to work harder than ever to hold onto his number one position, but really enjoying the competition.

"A number of new cars and drivers joined the category this season, making it the most competitive for some time - five different drivers have won the last five races," continued Mr. Boyd.

"This weekend throws up more challenges as I understand up to four more new cars will join the category for the first time.

"They are all potential frontrunners, so fans are in for a treat with three races over the weekend and JB keen to add another Rare Spares Rose City Trophy to his collection," finished Brian Boyd.
